It's been a long time, and we shouldn't have left you. But we did...and now we're back. Welcome to Orchard Lounge 2.0. We've completely revamped the website, and we're stoked to finally be back up and online. Our myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/orchardlounge) will continue to be the best source for finding out about upcoming gigs, but the focus of this site is for you to get a more in-depth look at who we are what we do. We've added some new features like OrchardLounge.TV, where we give you some amazing work by up and coming visual artist from Philadelphia, Clay Dempsey. Also, we've got a new Artwork section, where we show off the talents of iconic Chicago graphic designer, Brian Maher aka BZA. For those interested in booking us, check out the new Press section, where we've got a few recently written articles available for download. We should also mention the fact that we're tossing our old email list out the door. If you'd like to get a monthly update about projects, gigs, and events, please check out the Contact Us page.
And now, for the real reason we hope you're here...
The three of us are incredibly passionate about music, and one of our primary goals as DJs has always been to expose the masses to music you may not be familiar with. In doing this, we've always tried our best to remain versatile. In our iTunes-esque new Mix Tapes section, you'll find many old mixes, and a whole gang of new ones. All available to stream and download for free. From downtempo to tech, classic hip hop to funk, and electro to lover's rock, there's something for everyone. You'll also find many live sets that have never seen the light of day...until now. Please erase everything of ours that you've ever downloaded, as the new versions have proper ID3 tags, as well as some incredible new artwork to rock on your iPods.
Thanks for visiting, and we hope you enjoy what you see. More importantly, we hope you enjoy what you hear.
Cheers,
Bethany, Ben, and Spencer
